College applicants must visit and tour the college before enrolling. We require parents of dependent students to visit the College and co-sign enrollment paperwork. We recommend that spouses also visit the college. Family support is valuable for students’ success when starting a new career. Class size is limited so prospective students should apply for admission as early as possible. Any person will be considered for admission in any course who is of good moral character, who is in good physical and mental condition, who has a high school diploma or GED, and has proof that she/he is at least 17 years of age or older.
High school students without a diploma or GED may be considered for enrollment by fulfilling the following requirements: provide written permission from their high school to attend Moored Beauty Schools under a Vocational Training Contract and provide a completed high school contract. The high school and/or parent’s work out a payment plan to pay tuition and kit costs. Applicants who cannot visit the campus may arrange an interview with an admissions representative at their high school by contacting the high school Guidance Counselor.
Applicants for the Cosmetology Instructor Course must have a valid Michigan or Indiana Cosmetology license to start the training. Moored Beauty Schools does not practice discrimination on the basis of sex, race, age, color, ethnic origin, or religion in any of its admission, instructional or graduation policies. Students must strictly adhere to all rules and regulations of the school. Violation of any rules or regulations may result in suspension or termination of the student’s enrollment.
